Sept 2020 / WAKE at Glynde Place / Artwave Festival Lewes / instagram: @this_is_wake
Contemporary sculpture, sound, photography and performance at Glynde Place by Isobel Smith,
Louis Blee and Susan Bell.
WAKE is a response to the architecture, objects, stories and history of Glynde Place, a stately home in East Sussex. Inspired by a rare opportunity to work with the house in its ‘put to bed state’. Curated by Isobel Smith, WAKE seeks to make un-sense of the sensible by stitching, bending, filming and bashing new stories from fragments of the old to add another layer to the web of stories that surrounds this wonderful place.
